Crop Supervisor - Matamata

About the Role

Wilcox is seeking an experienced Crop Supervisor to join our Matamata growing operation. This is a hands-on role responsible for supervising crop production activities while leading and developing production teams to achieve high standards of safety, quality, productivity and sustainability.

Working closely with the Regional Manager, Production Manager and Crop Manager, you'll oversee crop establishment through to harvest while supporting operational planning, staff leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Lead and support crop production teams.
• Coordinate day-to-day growing operations.
• Monitor crop performance from planting through to harvest.
• Assist with crop planning and production activities.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.

About You

To be successful you will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in crop production or commercial horticulture.

• Sound knowledge of crop production, agronomy and farming operations.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• A commitment to health, safety and environmental best practice
